Is Skin Resurfacing Right For You?
Venus Viva™ skin resurfacing treatments work with tiny pins that safely deliver heat (via NanoFractional Radio Frequency) through the skin’s surface. This creates tiny micro-dermal wounds, which the body naturally heals on its own. This process repairs signs of skin damage visible on the surface of the skin. Since the wounds are so small, the treatment is much more comfortable than traditional CO2 lasers, while still producing incredibly visible results.

The ideal skin resurfacing candidate is anyone who shows signs of skin damage, including deep wrinkles, scars, visible pores, stretch marks, and/or anything else that affects the skin’s texture that wants to experience the power benefits of microneedling therapy with Fractional and Radio Frequency Technology. How Long Does the Treatment Take?
At Valencia Voci, a typical Skin Resurfacing session with Venus Viva takes approximately 15-30 minutes depending on the area being treated. With numbing time included, patients can expect their appointment to be 40 -60 minutes depending on the area being treated.
What Results May Be Expected? How Many Treatments are Needed to See Results?
Patients will see improved appearance of deep wrinkles, acne scars and other scars, stretch marks, rosacea and overall more even skin tone, texture and pigmentation. For optimal results, most patients receive 3-4 treatments per area every 4-6 weeks. The exact number will depend on each individual person and the area being treated. You’ll also notice much better results than with superficial treatments like chemical peels and microdermabrasion.
Is There Any Downtime or Pain?
Valencia Voci’s Skin Resurfacing treatments may be slightly uncomfortable, but not painful. You’ll feel intense heat, similar to the feeling of sunburn, and your face will look red right after the treatment. For more aggressive treatments, we give patients topical numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. The downtime for skin resurfacing is only approximately 24 hours post-treatment (or up to 5 days for more aggressive treatments), unlike lasers or other treatments where recovery or downtime lasts up to 10 days. Your skin will be red and sensitive for the first 24 hours.. After 24 hours, you may put on makeup and resume your regular skin care routine. You should always apply sunscreen (at least SPF 30) to maintain your results and prevent sun damage. Avoid rigorous exercise and hot baths or massages on the treatment area for the first 2 days after your session. Make sure to keep your skin clean and protected from the sun. Avoid any sort of tanning.
